Over the past year, I’ve already mentioned on this site a couple of times the beautiful setting by the Salvation Army International Staff Band of Geoffrey Nobes’ unforgettable tune Lavenham, which he wrote to an adapted verson of my words, ‘Lord, there are times when I have to ask why’. Now they’ve created a new video to accompany the rendition, which powerfully yet sensitively captures something of the trauma that coronavirus has wreaked upon the world, while at the same time reminding us of the selfless service and sheer goodness on the part of many that has shone like a beacon in the darkness. You’ll find the the link to the video here, and I suspect you’ll find it as moving as I did.
