Those who walked in darkness have seen a great light;
a light shining brightly on those who dwelt in a place of dense darkness.
Isaiah 9:2
Lord Jesus Christ,
sunshine of my mind,
of my heart,
of my soul,
of my being,
of my all,
light up my words,
my thoughts,
my deeds;
illumine my steps,
my path,
my journey;
shine upon me,
and in me,
and through me;
gleam through my compassion,
my service,
my love.
Be to me the dayspring of my life,
my new dawn,
my spring morning,
my eternal summer,
my ray of hope,
my clear blue sky.
Bathe me in the radiance of your love,
the brightness of your grace,
the brilliance of your mercy,
this day and for evermore.
