The bleak, cold days of water can send a chill through us in more ways than one. But do they at times also find a parallel in the level of our Christian commitment? The following short prayer, taken from The Little Book of Bird Prayers and subsequently reprinted in The Animal Lover’s Daily Prayer Book, seeks forgiveness for the way, consciously or unconsciously, we freeze God out of our lives.
Forgive me, Lord,
for I freeze you out of my life,
faith growing cold within me.
Break the ice that comes between us,
and thaw my frosty heart.
Amen.
Just beautiful and real.
Thank you
John
Thank you so much John.
