Here’s another new coronavirus prayer, to help support and encourage you in these challenging times.
You’re here, Lord,
not untouched by our pain,
but sharing it;
not unconcerned by our plight,
but feeling it;
not remote from our world,
but part of it;
not heedless of our fear
but responding to it;
not indifferent to our grief,
but experiencing it;
not deaf to our cry,
but moved by it;
not blind to what we’re going through,
but dismayed by it;
not shocked when we doubt,
but understanding it.
You’re here, Lord,
though we struggle to see it:
not distant,
detached,
far above our earthly concerns,
but by our side,
involved,
seeking always to succour,
sustain,
strengthen
and support.
Help us to hold on to the knowledge that,
whatever we may face,
we do not face it alone,
for you will be there alongside us:
truly, God with us.
Amen.
