Here’s a prayer that didn’t feature in The Little Book of Dog Prayers but that was written as one of 160 new ones for The Animal Lover’s Daily Prayer Book. It reminds us of the importance of recognising the gifts we’ve been given, and equally of recognising those we don’t have, much though we may wish it were otherwise!
There are things I can do, Lord,
and things I can’t;
challenges I’m equipped to face
and others beyond me.
Help me to know the difference.
