What a wonderful image this is below of peace and tranquillity. The picture and prayer comes from my book The Little Book of Cat Prayers, later reprinted in The Animal Lover’s Daily Prayer Book, and it speaks to me of the assurance that we are secure in God’s love, no matter what life may bring. As Psalm 56:3-4 so beautifully puts it: ‘When I’m frightened, I trust in you: in God, whose word I revere, in whom I trust; I shall not be afraid.’
Thank you, Lord, that I can rest easy,
secure in your love,
knowing that whatever I face,
in life or in death,
you will be with me,
now and always.
