Lent is about decisions – about choosing the way we will take: that of God or the world; of self-interest or service to others; of personal gain or loving our neighbour. That’s the theme of the following little prayer, taken from The Little Book of Lent Prayers, which I put together back in 2008.
When I’m caught in two minds, Lord,
unsure of the direction to follow,
grant your guidance
and help me to take the right path –
the way that leads to life.
Amen.
