This week I had the sixth injection of my new myeloma drug, datatumumab (try saying that after a glass or two of wine!), and I’m thrilled to report that so far not only has the cancer responded to it well but I’ve also had no untoward side effects. Better still, I’m fully recovered now from the pneumocystis that laid me so low in the autumn, feeling better and fitter than I’ve been in a long time, and able to walk miles again at weekends, including up steep inclines that would previously have been unthinkable. I feel like celebrating every morning, and give thanks daily for such an excellent recovery.
Thank you again to everyone for the many kind thoughts, messages and prayers throughout this time; they have meant more to me than I can tell you.
Every good wish to all my readers for a very happy Christmas, despite the troubled times we are living in, and for better times ahead.
Wow, wonderful news. So pleased for you. Have a wonderful Christmas. x
