Here’s a short and simple offering from my book The Animal Lover’s Daily Prayer Book, celebrating God’s unique care for us all.
When I gaze at the heavens, Lord,
the vastness of space and trillions of galaxies,
I’m overwhelmed, awestruck, even a little afraid,
for how can you possibly have time for me,
let alone care about my welfare.
And yet, amazingly, you do!
For that astounding truth, thank you.
