Here’s a little mixture of words and picture, taken from my book The Little Book of Lent Prayers, aimed at simply bringing home the message that Lent, perhaps above all, a time for examination and opening our lives to the searching scrutiny of God.
Examine me, Lord,
and help me to see where my faith is weak
and life lacking.
Put a new heart and a right spirit within me,
and make me whole.
