Reach out, Lord, to the incapacitated –
those injured through accident,
wounded in war,
maimed through illness,
or deformed at birth.
Equip them to face the challenges life brings,
and to see themselves,
however disfigured they may be,
as whole people,
precious in your sight.
Amen.
