Finally, after nearly three months of the myeloma spiralling increasingly out of control and my health declining as a result, it looks as though things may happen fairly soon on my new treatment, provided that I avoid succumbing to pneumonia, Covid or other complications in the next fortnight, and that the hospital Ophthalmology Department get on board with it when they see me Monday week. Assuming all goes smoothly, I should start on the new trial drug, Belantamab, on 9 February. There’s no guarantee it will work, of course, but it’s my best hope of continued meaningful remission, so I’m thrilled to be close, at last, to starting on it. Thank you once again to all those who have continued to support me in their thoughts and prayers, and apologies for missing the various supportive comments posted over the last few weeks.
We’re so grateful there’s a way forward at last. All our love xxx
Thank you both, dear friends. So lovely to hear from you. xxx
Praying that you are able to start on this new drug, and that it stops the myeloma progression. x
Thanks Val. I’ll keep you posted xx
Hope everything goes well for you.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Christine and Brian

Thank you, Shona. Lovely of you to take the time to post. 🙂
Encouraging news Nick, hope all goes well. Also, thank you for your new book, am finding it inspiring and have just posted a review.
Thank you so much, Nick, for both the review and the good wishes.
