Here’s a short and simple offering from my book The Animal Lover’s Daily Prayer Book, reflecting on the call to bear each others’ burdens, as Christ has born ours.
Thank you, Lord, for I was heavy laden
and you gave me rest.
Help me in turn to bear the burdens of others,
or at least to lighten their load.
Amen.
